Day 1
Travel to Kenosha, Wisconsin, on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, as we head into local Italian heritage and our home for two nights. Before arriving at our hotel, we will stop at Tenuta’s Old World Grocery. Tonight, we will savor Kenosha’s Italian experience at dinner.

Day 2
After breakfast, our journey takes us from Italian to Danish heritage in just a few short miles. The Danish Uncle Marketplace will give a presentation on the history and making of kringles. Our guide will bring the colorful and inventive heritage of Racine to life. Enjoy lunch at Ye Olde Cheese Box before touring the Gethsemane Lutheran Church. We’ll tour Saint Josephat’s Basilica, German/English Academy, Old World Main Street, Germania Building, Pabst Theatre and City Hall. Then we’ll visit the Pabst Mansion. Sumptuous German cuisine awaits us in the relaxing evening hours at the Gasthaus Restaurant.

Day 3
A local guide joins us for a tour of Kenosha this morning. Next, we stop at Old World Wisconsin, a living history museum where European influence is keenly represented.

Day 4
Our morning sightseeing begins in New Glarus. Also included in our tour is a visit to the Chalet of the Golden Fleece, modeled after a Swiss Bernese mountain chalet. We then continue north into the 19th-century village known as the Troll Capital of the World, Mount Horeb. Little Norway is located in the “Valley of the Elves.”  Guides share the story of the Norwegian immigrants as we tour original farm buildings. Tonight we’ll feast on a traditional Swiss dinner and enjoy the entertainment.

Day 5
We are off to Monroe, where we will see how Swiss Cheese is made. Then we’ll visit the Minhas Craft Brewery, one of the oldest breweries in the nation, having brewed its first batch in 1845.
