Days 1 and 2
We board our motor coach and travel east into Indiana for our first night’s lodging. Day 2 we travel north into Frankenmuth, “Michigan’s Little Bavaria.” Our first stop is at Zeilinger Wool Co. We check into our hotel for a two-night stay and then check out the festivities going on at Frankenmuth’s 52nd anniversary of the Bavarian Fest. The festival is held at the Harvey Kern Community Pavilion and is patterned after a Munich, Germany, fest hall. Sing and dance to Bavarian music played by colorful, costumed German bands.

Day 3
Our step-on guide takes us back in time to the mid 1800s and the historical sites of the early settlers. We stop at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. We are led through the proper pretzel-rolling method, and then it’s our turn to match the technique. Now we are off to the Bavarian Belle for a paddlewheel riverboat excursion. We dock at River Place Shopping Center waterfall. We return to the hotel to freshen up for the evening activities. Frankenmuth is the home of Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, a fascinating year-round attraction for all ages. Open 361 days of the year, Bronner’s features over 50,000 trims and gifts, including Christmas ornaments, Nativity scenes, collectibles, and more. Later we will have German wine tasting before our dinner at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. Don’t forget to gather under the Glockenspiel Tower before you leave. Included Meals: Day 3 – Cont. Day 4
Before leaving the area we tour the Coffee Beanery in Flint. We will learn where the beans come from and how they are harvested for shipping to the roasting plant in Michigan. We travel to Saugatuck for an unbelievable expedition on the Goshorn Lake Dune Schooners. We overnight in Holland, Michigan.

Day 5
All too soon we leave Michigan’s “Little Bavaria,” filled with thoughts of this Bavarian Treasure.
