Days 1 and 2
Today we make our way to Holland, Michigan. Dinner is included tonight. On Day 2 we journey through the beautiful landscapes of central Michigan. We arrive in Mackinaw City and board the ferry to Mackinac Island. This island retains an atmosphere of the 19th Century with no automobiles. This afternoon you are free to stroll about the magic of this island “Lost in Time.” Then gather to watch the world’s longest horse hitch parade. We enjoy a two night stay on the island.
Included Meal: Day 1 – Dinner

Day 3
We start the morning with a horse-drawn tram tour of the island. In June, Mackinac Island’s lilac trees burst forth in a spectacular display. The tour features the Governor’s Summer Residence, City Hall and more. We see Skull Cave and tour Fort Mackinac. Enjoy a buffet luncheon at the famous Grand Hotel, and a self-guided tour of the public space in the hotel and grounds. Today is the day after the annual festival and therefore a bit more quiet, allowing you to enjoy your exploration of the island on your own.

Days 4 and 5
We ferry back to the mainland and travel to Grand Rapids to visit the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.
