Day 1
Celebrate your autumn with a tour into the spectacular Smoky Mountains. Our first day takes us into the “Bluegrass State” of Kentucky, stopping in Louisville for a tour of the Slugger Museum. We overnight in Frankfort, the capital of Kentucky.
Day 2
This morning we depart for Smoky Mountain National Park and Cherokee, North Carolina with a local guide. As we travel up the Tennessee side of the mountain, we pass the Chimneys, twin rock peaks that rise high above the valleys. We’ll stop at Morton Overlook to glimpse its incomparable view, then go to Newfound Gap, where we cross the state line to descend into North Carolina and the community of Cherokee.

Day 3
All aboard! Your scenic ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Railway provides a half-day excursion from Bryson City to the Nantahala Gorge. We’ll cross a portion of Fontana Lake to the spectacular whitewater rafting area. This afternoon, we travel back through the mountains into Gatlinburg for a two-night stay. Enjoy the many shops that make and sell mountain handicrafts such as brooms, candies, candles, pottery and furniture. This evening, enjoy a fabulous feast at the Black Bear Jamboree.

Day 4
Today we visit Dollywood, Dolly Parton’s fun-filled family entertainment center. Over 100 craftspeople from across America showcase the best in handmade artistry. The National Gospel and Harvest Celebration is included in our Dollywood visit.

Day 5
We return home today, remembering all the fun we had on our Smoky Mountain tour.
