Day 1
Today we travel north to Hannibal, Missouri, located on the Mississippi River. Stepping back in time we relive the spirit of adventure in Twain’s Mississippi River Town and are greeted by nostalgic figures, that must be Becky and Tom! We are escorted through the evening with “Mark Twain Himself” at the Planters Barn Theatre, experiencing a rowdy stage visit with the man, the life, and legend. Included Meal: Day 1 – Dinner

Day 2
After our breakfast, we motor coach to historic downtown Hannibal and take an old fashioned trolley ride. Step back into history with us and relive the adventures of Mark Twain’s days in Hannibal. Before leaving Hannibal we’ll take a relaxing riverboat cruise aboard an authentic paddle-wheeler on the “Mighty Mississippi.” This afternoon we travel to the Quad Cities for a two-night stay. We travel to The Machine Shed for a special feast.

Day 3
We start the morning at the Rock Island Arsenal Museum. This museum is the second oldest US Army Museum in the US. All Aboard! Join the group on a four-hour luncheon Celebration River Cruise on the Mississippi River, enjoying the sounds of Broadway Show Tunes. This afternoon, we’ll visit the John Deere Pavilion in downtown Moline, a creating of the past, present and future of agribusiness.

Day 4
Rise and Shine! Have a hearty breakfast before heading south to Peoria, IL. Board the Spirit of Peoria and paddle up the beautiful Illinois River Valley, reliving the adventures of days gone by on an authentic and beautiful paddlewheel-driven boat. Our afternoon travels will take us to the Cincinnati, Ohio, area for two nights.

Day 5
After breakfast on your own, the local guide will share the history and highlights of the Cincinnati area. We will see where they filmed such movies as Rain Man, Little Man Tate, Down and Out in Yonkers, and A Rage in Harlem. A few of the more interesting sights include a visit to Fabulous Furs, ; the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, a scaled-down replica of Notre Dame, in Paris; and Historic Laurel Court, designed by James Gamble Rogers and built for Peter Thomson, the founder of Champion Paper. Return to the hotel to freshen up or take in some local sights before departing for our farewell dinner. Cruise under the stars on the Ohio River and dine on a feast fit for an Admiral on the BB Riverboat.

Day 6
What a time we have had! Now we understand why Mark Twain and others loved the river so much. Relax and enjoy a leisurely ride home today.
