Days 1 and 2
Our tour to Colorado begins as we travel westward through Big Sky Country to Salina, KS.
Day 2: Glimpse your first view of the Rocky Mountains as we climb to Colorado Springs. We check into our hotel for the next two nights, then head for the Flying ‘W’ Ranch for an evening of entertainment and delicious western grub.

Day 3
We’ll board the Cripple Creek and Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad for an excursion through legendary abandoned mines. Heading south, we take time to see the Garden of the Gods, designated as a natural landmark for its outstanding geological formations. Then it’s on to Pikes Peak. Visit Cripple Creek, the world’s greatest gold camp.

Day 4
This morning we’ll visit the Air Force Academy before heading south to Canon City, a famed Gold Rush city. Here we board the Buckskin Joe Frontier Railway to view the river gorge before entering the expanded Royal Gorge Park. We’ll continue on to Alamosa—Spanish for cottonwood.

Day 5
Today we travel south to Antonito to board the 1880s Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. We’ll travel over 64 miles of unspoiled scenery. Our destination this evening will be Farmington, NM.

Day 6
We’ll have the opportunity to visit four states at the same time when we stop at the Four Corners National Monument. Next, we stop at the Mesa Verde National Park, designated as a World Heritage Site. Our travels then take us to Durango, where we’ll check into our hotel.

Day 7
You’re in for a real thrill as we ride America’s last regularly scheduled Narrow Gauge Train from Durango to Silverton. We’ll check into our hotel before going to dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Days 8 and 9
This morning we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the Colorado National Monument area. On our way to Denver, we’ll explore Colorado’s colorful railroad history with a stop at the Colorado Railroad Museum. Then we’ll continue east to Golden, a suburb of Denver area, for a two-night stay.
Day 9: Today we head north to Estes Park, a beautiful mountain-rimmed valley where snow-capped summits reach to the sky. There will be stops for picture-taking and to experience the unbelievable beauty of the Colorado Rockies.

Days 10 and 11
Cross the spacious plains of Kansas on our way to Salina today.
Day 11: You’ll return home with pleasant memories of having seen Colorado’s beautiful sights.
