The Ark and Creation Museum at Christmastime

We journey today through Illinois, Indiana and into Kentucky. In the late afternoon, we arrive at our destination for the event, “ChristmasTime at the Ark Encounter.” Here, we “board” a full-scale replica of Noah’s Ark, which offers us three floors to explore, we witness the Bible come to life while imagining what life would have been like living on the Ark. A dinner is included this evening at Emzara’s Kitchen, a two-story casual restaurant, with a spectacular view of the Ark. Enjoy festive and traditional Christmas carols, or browse through the gift shops for Christmas gifts. After all the festivities, we check into our hotel for a good night’s rest. (D)

After breakfast, our local guide will show us many interesting sights in Cincinnati. Then we will cross the Ohio River into Kentucky to the historic Riverside Drive with its antebellum homes. While in Kentucky, we will also enjoy a breathtaking view of the Cincinnati skyline. Now we board the BB Riverboat and set sail on a holiday lunch cruise along the Ohio River. Later this afternoon, we experience the wonder surrounding Christ’s birth when we visit “ChristmasTown at the Creation Museum.” Inside the museum, we will journey through a visual presentation of the history of the world based on the “7 C’s of History: Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ, Cross, and Consummation.” Tonight, stroll through the museum’s botanical gardens amid the lively and breathtaking display of thousands of multi-colored lights and reflect on the true meaning of the season at the live nativity. Later this evening, we will return to our hotel. (B,L)
