Day 1 | Fly into Reno

Fly into Reno for an overnight stay.

Day 2 | Yosemite National Park

Travel south along the east side of El Dorado National Forest to Yosemite National Park. Get your first looks at the strength of the granite, the beauty of the waterfalls and the tranquility of the High Sierra traveling across Tioga Road through Yosemite Valley! Continue west to El Portal to unpack your bags for a 2-night stay on the western edge of Yosemite at the comfortable Yosemite View Lodge featuring rooms overlooking the scenic Merced River. (B,D)

Day 3 | Yosemite Valley

Awake to the impressive scenery and travel into the park to the award-winning Majestic Lodge Dining Room for a gourmet lunch. Explore the rugged beauty of Yosemite Valley with a local guide. (B,L)

Day 4 | Sugar Pine Railroad - Sequoia National Park

The sounds and scenes from the era of steam powered railroad logging come to life aboard the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad. After our included lunch, we travel south to Sequoia National Park. Unpack for 2 nights in the park at John Muir Lodge in Kings Canyon. (B,L)

Day 5 | Sequoia - Kings Canyon National Park

After breakfast, it’s time to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks with a guide from the Sequoia Field Institute. These parks are home to giants: immense mountains, deep canyons and huge trees. Take a deep breath of the pine-scented fresh air and behold the oldest living thing in the world as you view the General Grant Tree, named the Nation’s Christmas Tree by Calvin Coolidge in 1926. Return to the hotel for dinner. (B,D)

Day 6 | Tumpisa

Cross the edge of the Mojave Desert into Death Valley National Park. Named by Native Americans as “Tumpisa,” meaning rock paint for its clay bottom. The Valley is known as having the lowest point in the western hemisphere. Our journey will take us to our overnight in Pahrump for the night. (B)

Day 7 | Death Valley National Park - Las Vegas

Embark on a journey of a wonderland that stretches as far as the eye can see on a guided tour of Death Valley National Park. Our guide from the Field Institute will share all the interesting features and stories of the Park including the stunning, Stove Pipe Wells, Harmony Borax Works and Zabriskie Point and other points of interest. A sack lunch will be provided today during our tour. This afternoon we will travel to Las Vegas for our overnight and farewell dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 8 | Las Vegas – Return Home

Reflect on the incomparable natural beauty we have explored as we fly home. (B)
