Day 5 | Lancaster to Philadelphia

We start the day at the Amish Experience Theatre, a one-of-a-kind experience. “Jacob’s Choice” tells the emotional story of the Fisher family from sixteenth century Europe to modern-day America. Ghostly effects, cannon, wind, rain and fire effects immerse you in the world of the Amish. Next we visit the Fisher Family Homestead and One-Room School. Both are designated official Lancaster County “Heritage Sites” and the house tour answers the “how” and “why” of Amish dress, life without electricity and many other Amish riddles. Our time in Lancaster ends with a delicious lunch in an Amish Home. We drive though the beautiful countryside on our way to Philadelphia. Our first stop in Philadelphia is at the Rocky Statue and the “Rocky Steps” before checking into our hotel. (B,L)
