River Hop and Great Steamboat Race

We embark on a lovely riverboat trip featuring 2 full days of cruising on the mighty Ohio River with historic fun and relaxation along the way. We check into our hotel for a good night’s rest. We begin our riverboat adventure tomorrow.

We board the Belle of Cincinnati at Newport Landing and enjoy breakfast onboard. There will be activities onboard all day. We travel through the Markland Lock and Dam, have dinner onboard, before docking at Vevay, IN where our motorcoach will transport us to Belterra Resort & Spa. This evening you can try your luck in the casino (no vouchers included). (B,L,D)

After breakfast at Belterra, board the boat and continue our river hop adventure. We dock in Louisville, board our motor coach and check into our hotel for the next two nights. This evening we go to the Derby Dinner Playhouse to see “Singing in the Rain.” (B,L,D)

This morning we visit the Frazier History Museum which is where the world meets Kentucky. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the Frazier documents stories from history using artifacts, exhibitions and guided tours. After lunch at Bristol Bar and Grille, we will tour another interesting attraction to be determined. After returning to the hotel for a break, we head back to the riverboat, to be part of riverboat history onboard the Belle of Cincinnati for its race against the Belle of Louisville in the 2025 Great Steamboat Race. We have reserved seats onboard and are treated to a buffet dinner and VIP bourbon tasting. After the race, we return to our hotel for the evening.(B,L,D)

We visit Schimpff’s Confectionery for a guided tour of the Candy Museum and a live demonstration of a small batch of Schimpff’s famous hard candy (generally Red Hots) being made on antique equipment. All too soon we must head for home. We hope you had a ride of your life on this memorable riverboat adventure. (B)
