Days 1 and 2: Wichita – Trinidad

Board our coach as we head west, where we will experience some of the most beautiful works of nature. Tonight we stay in Wichita. Day 2: We stop in the restored Dodge City of Gunsmoke fame before heading into colorful Colorado to Trinidad, where we overnight. (Day 2 - B)

Day 3: Taos – Durango

This morning we will visit the 500-year-old multistoried Taos Pueblo. Jewelry, weaving, pottery and other handicrafts may be purchased here in the historic district of Taos. We continue to Durango for our overnight. (B)

Day 4: Aztec Ruins – Navajo Reservation – Cameron

Today we will visit the Aztec Ruins, a sacred place to see well-preserved Chacoan structures and learn about the ancestral Pueblo culture. We see enchanting Shiprock en route to the Four Corners, where four states meet in the center of Native American lands. View an ancient cliff dwelling at the Navajo National Monument. Visit the Navajo Interactive Museum which approximates the journey Navajos take through life. We continue to Cameron Lodge to overnight on the Navajo Reservation. (B,D)

Day 5: Grand Canyon – Glen Canyon – Kanab

A short drive takes us to the Grand Canyon, where we explore this spectacular wonder of nature and have lunch on your own. This afternoon we will see the Glen Canyon Dam a concrete arch-gravity dam located on the Colorado River in northern Arizona. We continue to Kanab, Utah our home for 2 nights. (B)

Day 6: Bryce Canyon

This morning we travel to Bryce Canyon where you will see the largest concentration of “Hoodoos” found anywhere on Earth. This afternoon enjoy an award-winning Slot Canyon UTV trip. This adventure will offer beautiful overlooks and red rock spires that few visitors will get to see. (B)

Day 7: Monument Valley – Moab

This morning we take a private jeep tour through restricted areas of Monument Valley. We will explore the area’s backroads and sacred lands with our guide. We continue into Moab for a 2-night stay. This evening, we feast at the Dutch oven BBQ on the banks of the Colorado River. After dinner, enjoy a cruise on the Colorado River, featuring illuminated cliff and rock formations synchronized with music. (B,D)

Day 8: National and State Parks

After breakfast, our local guide will show us Arches National Park, Deadhorse State Park, Canyonlands National Park and its “Island in the Sky.” (B,L)

Day 9: Dinosaur Journey Museum – Denver

Today we visit the Dinosaur Journey Museum featuring Colorado’s best robotic dinosaurs along with real dinosaur fossils, explore exhibits, and showcase extinct creatures. We travel through the Rocky Mountains to the Denver area, where we overnight. (B)

Days 10 and 11: Salina – Return Home

As we leave Colorado, we cross the plains of Kansas. Salina will be our final destination for today, with dinner at Tucson’s Steakhouse. Day 11 returns us home. (Day 10 - B,D / Day 11 - B)
