Tour Plan

1

Days 1 and 2 | Columbus - Niagara Falls

We’ll travel to Ohio for our first night’s lodging. Day 2: Our journey continues northeast into the Great Lakes region. Late afternoon finds us passing through Canadian customs and into the city of Niagara Falls, Ontario, our home for the next 4 nights. (Day 2 - B)
2

Day 3 | Niagara Falls

Our morning begins with a guided tour of the Niagara area, including Table Rock, the Floral Clock and the Whirlpool. We stop at the Welland Canal to get a view of the locks that help move tankers from lower Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. Enjoy an unforgettable lunch some 700 feet above the falls in the famous Skylon Tower revolving dining room. Board the Hornblower Niagara River Cruise boats that plunge into the churning mist in the center of the cascading falls (raincoats provided). Dinner and entertainment this evening will be at the Greg Frewin Theatre, starring Greg Frewin, the International Grand Champion of Magic. (B,L,D)

Day 4 | Niagara Falls

This morning visit the Butterfly Conservatory, a tropical paradise with over 2,000 free-flying butterflies. Visit Niagara-on-the-Lake, with time on Main Street to browse the quaint shops. At Konzelmann Estate Winery, we have a tour and sampling of their award winning wines. After some time at the hotel to freshen up, we depart for dinner at Elements Restaurant, overlooking the Niagara River and Lake Ontario, followed by an evening view of the illuminated falls. Everyone gets a chance to change the lights on the falls from the Illumination Tower. (B,D)

Day 5 | Lockport - Niagara Falls

Today, we cross the border to Lockport, New York, where we’ll enjoy a narrated cruise that includes “locking through” and being raised the 49-foot elevation of the Niagara Escarpment. Your captain will describe the architecture, sights and folklore along the way. Lunch will be at Lockport Canalside Restaurant. We’ll head back to Niagara Falls, to the U.S. side and to the picturesque Niagara Falls State Park. See the falls from another perspective, from the Cave of the Winds. Take the elevator down, where you will walk along the boardwalks and stairs and feel the mist on your face (raincoats and sandals provided). It’s a view like no other! (B,L)
