Mississippi River Cruise

We journey north through Illinois into the Quad Cities area. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner at the award-winning Machine Shed. (D)

After breakfast at the hotel (or on the boat), we will board the Twilight in LeClaire, Iowa for a two-day cruise on the Mississippi River. On our 94-mile voyage you will experience the procedure of locking through Dams 12 and 13. There will be lots of great river scenery, birds of all kinds. The Captain will narrate along the way. There is the Dutch settlement at Fulton with its windmill, the grave site of President Ronald Reagan’s father, the gothic mansion at Belleview and the grave site of Julian Dubuque. The Twilight will dock along the Mississippi River Walk in the Port of Dubuque where we will overnight at the Grand Harbor Resort located on the banks of the Mississippi. (B,L,D)

After a night's rest, you enjoy breakfast at Tony Roma's Restaurant in the Grand Harbor Resort. Beginning at 8 a.m., complimentary shuttle service will be provided to the National Mississippi River Museum (subject to availability), 4th Street Elevator Cable Car Square shopping center, Diamond Jo Casino and St. Luke's Methodist Church. A little before noon you re-board the Twilight for your return trip down the river. A delicious lunch, snack and wonderful dinner are served en route. Upon arrival in LeClaire, our motor coach transports us back to our hotel. (B,L,D)
