Tour Plan

Day 1 | Bartlesville

We begin our journey by heading west today to Bartlesville, OK. After checking in at our hotel, we enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 2 | Pawhuska

Today we visit The Pioneer Woman Mercantile in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Ree and Ladd Drummond spent years renovating the hundred-year-old Osage Mercantile building on Main Street so that they could welcome visitors from near and far and give them a slice of small town hospitality. “The Merc” has gorgeous goods, comfort foods, freshly made pastries, delicious coffee and plenty of fun to dish out. The Lodge on Drummond Ranch serves as the production location for The Food Network show. Tours are available on select dates and only when the show is not in production. You are invited to visit The Lodge if we are there on one of their tour dates. Later this afternoon, we depart for 2 nights in the Dallas area. (B)

Day 3 | Waco

Following breakfast, we depart for Waco, TX. Our first stop will be the Dr Pepper Museum. We learn the story of the invention of Dr Pepper and the growth of the soft drink industry. We meet a re-creation of the inventor of Dr Pepper in the Old Corner Drug Store, explore the history of bottling, enjoy a guided tour of the original bottling facility and sample some hand-made Dr Pepper from an old-fashioned soda fountain. Our next stop is Magnolia Market at the Silos, owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of HGTV’s Fixer Upper show. You can visit The Market, play lawn games, get your gardening supplies at Magnolia Seed and Supply and purchase delicious baked goods at Silos Baking Co. Grab lunch at the Food Trucks (weather permitting). You might want to hop aboard the free Trolley for a tour of Waco with stops in the downtown area at popular shopping and art venues. Later this afternoon we make our way back to our hotel in Dallas. (B)

Day 4 | Dallas to Little Rock

This morning, a local guide joins us for a Dallas highlights tour. We see the West End Historic District, Dealey Plaza, site of the JFK tragedy, the Kennedy Memorial, Pioneer Plaza and more. We continue our journey to Little Rock, Arkansas. This evening we are served up food, fun and fabulous live entertainment at Murry’s Dinner Playhouse. (B,D)

Day 5 | Little Rock to Return Home

This morning, we have a guided tour of the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock. All too soon, it’s time to make our way home with fond memories of new friends and experiences. (B)
